Why does the Twin-Tail Surfboard have fins on the front of the board?
Well, that is the whole reason for the Twin-Tail, the ability for the board to perform the same either forwards or backwards. Just imagine how much your Surfing will improve!
I can' t get my head around it, does it really work?

I'm just a beginner, I don't know any tricks, can I use the Twin-Tail?
Yes, the Twin-Tail "is no easier to ride and no harder to ride than a normal surfboard". You'll be up and riding quickly, both forwards and backwards!
Is the Twin-Tail Surfboard hard to paddle?
The Twin-Tail has a continuous rocker which allows the board to pass through the water with ease. It paddles well and surfs even better!
Do I need 6 fins, 3 fins on the front and 3 on the back?
Just like any surfboard, you can remove your fins, or use different sized fins at any time.
Do the front fins catch in the water when riding down the face of a wave?
Now, this is a question we get alot...and "yes", sometimes they may cut through the water, as they do they will give you more grip in the direction you are turning. Adjustments in size will give you better turning grip.
What size Twin-Tail Surfboard is right for me?
Normally, we advise to choose a Twin-Tail approximately 4 to 6 inches shorter than your current surfboard, this is due to the design of the Twin-Tail and the extra floatation of a Twin-Tail Surfboard.
Can I use my Twin-Tail in competition?
Yes, we haven't received any information from Surfing Australia or any other countries that does not allow the Twin-Tail in competition.
Which shape should I get?
That is really up to you and your surfing ability. The new Twin-Tails are made to order so you can have your favorite tail shapes added to any Twin-Tail.
Can I put my normal fins on my Twin-Tail until I get used to it?
Yes, we use all current fin boxes, so customizing your board will be easy. You may want to try all shapes and sizes.
Is it just 2 normal boards, cut in half and stuck together?
No, although it does look that way. It is actually designed much the same as other double ended boards. A symmetrical design allowing maximum performance.
How many people have a Twin-Tail surfboard, none of my mates have one?
We've lost count, Twin-Tail Surfboards have been shipped to every corner of the globe...so don't be surprised if your mates have one soon!

As mentioned, the Twin-Tails are custom made for the rider at this time. So, whether it's poly, epoxy or other, we will build the board just the way you like it.
